HP Notebook - 15-bw008cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to update my HP 15-bw008cl to the latest version of Windows 10 (21H2). However, whenever I try to update through windows update, it never does anything. I've also tried putting a new boot drive in the computer with the latest version of windows but the bios cant find a bootable operating system (error 3f0). Put a drive in with an older version of windows 10 (1909) and it booted up just fine. Does anyone know if there is a driver I need to download or what the issue could be?

Hello @15-bw008cl

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... and I would like to help you.

Your Windows version is too old and cannot be updated !

(1) Back up <all> personal data (documents/pictures/videos etc...) to external USB hard drive

(2) Reinstall Windows 10

You need to prepare <USB flash drive>

Use the official Microsoft method:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO

After installation is done, download and install HP drivers

@Ub6424.

I have already tried to do a clean install of windows. I put the latest version of Windows 10 on a new SSD, put it in my laptop and it reported that no operating system was found (error 3F0). When I downgraded back to Windows 10 1909 the OS was detected and Windows booted up. My guess is there is a driver issue that is preventing my laptop from booting the newest version of Windows 10. But I already have all the latest drivers installed from HP
