Product: HP Pavilion 15-n096st Notebook PC

The battery coded LA04 on my device has no longer functioned. Should I buy another LA04 coded battery or will the OA04 coded battery also fit my device? Some internet sources wrote that the battery coded OA04 is suitable for the 15-N series.

Chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual has the HP battery part number and description.

4 cell, 41-Wh, 2.8-Ah, Li-ion battery   HP part # 728460-001

 

I recommend that you find a compatible battery that references the HP battery part number.
