I apparently ordered and most likely received the i set of media recovery on a jump drive back in 2017. However, i can't find the jump drive and really have no recollection of it coming in. I understand i most likely can't obtain another one, but if i at least some idea of what the drive looked like and the packaging as well maybe i could locate it or remember what i did with it! I have a retail business where many packages are received daily and am away most of the time. so that might add to the problem as that would have been the ship to address! any suggestions!

Hi:
With the HP cloud recovery client utility you can now make your own recovery kit.
See the info at the link below for how to do that.

As far as what the 16 GB recovery drive they shipped you looks like?
That would be anybody's guess.
HP shipped me a black one. It had a white label on it.
I don't know if they are all black flash drives or not.
Mine was for an HP Stream Pro G4.
You can also reorder a recovery drive if necessary...

It should be out of date by now. You can re-install Windows 10 anytime. There are few options, two common ones are
(a) Fresh install: clear everything
(b) Fresh install and keep all user data/files and applications.
You can download, create Windows 10 installation media from
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
System will automatically activate once you are connected to the internet using the key embedded in BIOS of your machine.
Regards.

Thanks for your reply. It's just irritating knowing I received something but can't find it. Frankly, my bigger problem now is a battery that is having charging issues, but know that's a separate issue that'll require a new research issue.
