Product: HP Compaq 6200 Pro MT PC

I'm getting this me message on my HP Compaq 6200 Pro MT PC

1720-SMART Hard Drive detects imminent failure

     Failing Drive:SATAT1(Light Blue)

     Failing Attribute: #05

 

every time this message pops out when i start my desktop, I press F1 to boost it. And I have been doing it for awhile. But I would live to fix it now.

Any help?

Hi:

 

I recommend that you back up any files you need to save onto a portable hard drive, install a new drive, and reinstall the operating system if the OS is installed on that drive.

 

That is normally the only way you will be able to fix the problem.
