  When I start the computer I get 2 Windows versions to choice from.  Windows and Windows 1.  If I select Windows, all is fine.  If I go into Windows 1 the computer tries to start and the stops.  I had lost access to Windows and Windows would say it could not repair and stop.  I managed to plug in a USB with Windows install on it and got Windows installed.  I then loaded the apps.  It like in the very old days when we could have a number of versions of window on the same computer.   There may be 1 or 2  physical hard drives as it seems to be in 2 devices and each device has some sub sections.  I cannot remember how I got there but it was under system I think.   How do get  rid of the Window that does not work?  Hope do I test to be sure the drive is good.

@Waggy2000,

If you haven't ran Disk Management yet, you can do so to find out what kind of partitions are on the disk besides c: Windows partition. Also, you can run msconfig from Run and click the Boot tab and check to see what is listed in the space underneath the Boot tab. If you see more than one entry, you may be able to fix the problem. Can you post screenshots of your Disk Management and boot tab screen of msconfig?
