So ive been trying to factory reset this pc. And all i have gotten is one thing after another. Finally got ahold hp and guy sent me a usb which i had paid 40$. So i get it a week from then and yay i was happy only to plug it in and it would go to a blue screen with this error. That says recovery manager in the header tab... Followed by exclamation inside triangle with written words application close [info] no hdd in the main text area... Followed by an ok button. Which just restarts the process of doing the same thing over again... Ive tried every possible usb boot with the same outcome.... So i figured id talk to hp and they sent me another recovery usb on the house maybe that one was bad.... Same outcomes... But i have been trying to find my recovery manager in the bluescreen recovery system... With the troubleshoot and cmd and reset and all that where the recovery manager shhould be. Can anyone guess it no recovery manager anywhere i get that windows 10 did away with it but then why do the instructions plain as day say go to recovery manager which i do not have??? All i want to do is is completely restore this pc to like outta box new. I dont know maybe a tall order but i have spent hours and hours. And days and days just trying to figure out this problem... Ive read alot and ive tested many things but im to a give up point

Hi:
Did you try making your own W10 bootable installation media?
You can make a W10 USB flash drive installer with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, using an 8 GB flash drive using another Windows PC, if your PC is not working.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
Here are the steps to create the W10 USB flash drive installer...
Select Download tool now, and select Run.
If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.
Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. You want 64 bit.
Select which media you want to use:
USB flash drive. Plug in a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.
Then you can install the drivers and available software from the PC's support page...

yes i tried this with avail... but still i get no recovery manager, to restore my pc to factory, all it does is reinstall windows basically, or is that all a recovery is? i guess when i think of factory restore i mean a cleanout of my harddrives and bios and everything basically that runs the laptop.... i basically am looking for the first imprint of the partitions... i am not looking to download these "free" managers for partitions when there not "absolutley free" once you get to a certain part of their programs... Like a little kid game... just a runaround with trying to get more money.... if i just bought the computer i should have rights to build and copy and rework anything on My laptop for free if it gets messed up. my first mistake was not making a restore point as soon as i opened it... because honestly this is the first computer ive ever owned in my life... there should have been a warning or something letting me know like hey back up and make a restore point before you do anything. because i ended up getting a trojan virus attack which started this cluster of a mess within the first week of owning this laptop. not that i dont like looking for the answers and troubleshooting all that i have... because its useful for future reference but i dont know, just ranting i guess... but back to what i am asking is there a system recovery that i earlier described or is that windows recovery what is called a recovery?

No, there isn't a way to restore the hard drive to its 'out of the box' condition if the HP recovery media won't work.
You will have to live with the clean installation of Windows, and install the drivers and available software that is on the support page.
That is why I gave you this method in the first place, otherwise you would have an expensive paperweight.
Your only other option would be to contact HP technical support and see if one of their customer services reps can help you get the HP recovery media to work.

i get what you said beleive me, but why is it so difficult to find any info out on this subject firstly, i mean there are thousands of forum posts all over the internet side note(wishing i woud've had the idea to investigate dell pcs a little more, before i bought this hp laptop.) about the same general idea and different ways how we all got here, but i mean money is root of all evil and thats all these buisnesses give a crap about not that its your fault or anyones just is what it is really. but maybe here is idea would i be able to send a hard drive to hp and have them add whatever the "big secret" is to a harddrive so i can have a like new operation to work with or what department would i have to ask about that?
