To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

 

  • Did this error appear suddenly, or after a BIOS/Windows update or hardware change?
  • Do you hear the hard drive or SSD spinning/working when the laptop powers on?

In the meantime, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Hard Reset
    • Power off the laptop.
    • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
    • Hold down the Power button for 15 seconds, then reconnect power and try starting again.
  2. Check Boot Order in BIOS
    • Turn the laptop on and immediately press Esc or F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS Setup.
    • Ensure that your hard drive/SSD is listed as the first boot device.
    • If it’s missing, the drive may not be detected.
  3. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
    • Restart the laptop and press Esc → F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
    • Run the System Tests (especially the Hard Drive/SSD test) to check for hardware issues.
