HP Notebook - 15-da0061cl

Good evening,

I am currently trying to fix this laptop, the boot device cannot be found (3F0). So far, I have run a hard drive test, which passed. I have tried to get into the recovery manager (F11). I also tried opening the start menu with the Esc key. Neither of those things will work. I am able to open the BIOS, I also tried restoring the default settings in there but that also did not work.

I am mostly trying to figure out why I can’t access the recovery manager. It’s a relatively new laptop, however I don’t know much about it since it’s my dad’s. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

Did you change your 1TB hdd to any ssd or m.2 drive.

If yes

Did you clone your ssd drive.

Always try to install fresh windows 10 for any ssd or m.2 drive.

Better you update bios version (some times bios is corrupted ).

Install the intel rapid storage driver from hp website or intel websit.

Did you check your hdd or ssd life remaining?

Very recently did removed your laptop backed cover , better check all cables are in order.

Remove the battery and again reconnect the battery.

Good morning,

Thank you for your response. I have not made any changes to the laptop hardware at all. How would I go about updating the BIOS? And I’ll try to install the intel rapid storage driver. All of the hardware tests I ran passed and I have not opened the laptop.
