Hi , I am having massive issues with my HP laptop. It is taking sometime 4 or 5 hours to boot up. Initially when I start laptop I can see screen back light is lit up bit doe snot show anything else. Then as HP logo appears with a doted circle going round and round for good 4-5 hours . So i need to leave it on all night to use in the morning. After all night on that screen sometime it shows me log in screen and some time it is still showing that HP Logo with dotted circle underneath . can anyone help me how to fix it ?

Taking that long would lead one to suspect a hardware issue, probably the hard drive. Run the diagnostics routines to verify which device is/has failed. From a cold start, begin with tapping the "Esc" key and then pressing the startup button. Keep tapping "Esc" until a popup menu shows. The pick diagnostics, F2.
Report back with the results.

So, using the procedure outline in my earlier post, it does not respond with anything?
