We have several HP EliteBook 470 G8 with an intel 11th gen processor.
I want to make a clean installation. Therefore, I download the Windows 10 tool and create a pen containing the Windows 10 21H1.
I boot the pen, but the pen does nor recognize the disk, or rather, probably the chipset.
I find the drivers, unpack them, use F6, everything works.
So far so good. But what I want, is to inject the drivers into the boot.wim of the pen.
I have downloaded and tried 5 og 6 different driver. I have tried them all, starting from scratch every time. All of them worked when using the F6 method. All of them injected perfectly without any errors. None of them recognize the disk/chipset when booting.
Please help. Where do I find Intel 11th gen drivers that I can inject into the boot.wim of a Windows 10-20H1 so that I can boot the pen without using the F6 option?

Hi:
Here is how you need to proceed...no need to inject any files into the installation media itself...
Here is the link to the driver you need...
This package contains the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver for the supported notebook models and operating systems. The Intel Rapid Storage Technology is designed to provide functionality for the Intel Storage Controllers. The driver improves Serial ATA (SATA) disk performance with Native Command Queuing.

There is one thing wrong in that document, and that is where HP tells you to right click on the Intel driver file and select Extract to
When I ran through the steps, I don't get an Extract to option when I right click on the file.
So, if you have the same issue, download and install the free 7-zip file utility from the link below.
The 1st file at the top of the page is for 64 bit.
Then you can right click on the exe file, select 7-Zip from the menu, and select Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp111776), and copy that folder to your USB flash drive, and continue with the instructions.

Thanks for replying. As I tried to explain in my first post, your suggestion is exactly what I have tried, several times, with several different drivers. It worked every time.
You write: ” ...no need to inject any files into the installation media itself...”. But that is exactly what I need. I need to inject the driver into the boot.wim so that the whole thing can be automated. It has been working perfectly with every older PC. But with 11th gen Intel, I am lost.

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.
I have given that same driver and procedure to at least 25 forum members that have notebooks with the Intel 11th gen core processors with a 100% success rate.
There is only one post where I gave another forum member with a 250 G8 (less expensive version of your model) this slightly different procedure and driver, and it worked for his model...

Thanks again.
As stated earlier you solution is fine and works - for manual installation. What I need is a way to inject drivers to boot.wim that actually will make it work automatically. As written before the same drivers that work manually (ad described by you) can be injected without any error. However, when tested it still does not work. I will keep looking.
