Hello! My current machine/machines: HP Envy, the info is under the battery, and I’m currently in CMD PROMPT after downloading fresh windows install and it got stuck in reset @3%, bought it used to get by until I can repair my HP notebook model 15-dy043dx, id 192loua#aba, which wont boot at all -i have been having these ongoing problems which I believe are related to my school account through microsoft 365 -

a couple years ago I was able to have a personal microsoft account with the same email address as the one for my .edu school account, and somewhere along the way that was disabled and my schools tech support has said not to log into microsoft windows using my school account, still in account security settings for that account is an old phone number that it tries to send verification codes to which my schools tech support has said that is nothing to do with them and not anything they can change or access .

I am relatively certain that my issues involve some kind of old exploits to windows - because it keeps going back in time to I guess allow for the exploits to take place, but let me try to summarize briefly because bottom line I just want to be able to use the computer for getting my assignments done

- i dont need xbox companion or solitaire suite -

I do not want them but the features and programs i try to uninstall continue to come back,

this is now the 4th hp laptop these same settings and windows version (1904) so what happens is

through remote access -scripting is taking place using panther, ubuntu, powershell, I was reading a setup log and basically it is something like this: there is a shadow copy/image that is set to rewrite over(and delete any existing) windows configurations-

it disables recovery environment deletes restore points

disables certain functions and administrator settings

all while looking and seeming to be legit windows. however there are some things that standout and are the same every time

so the first thing i consistently notice with this problem is the files are all dated 12/06-12/07/2019. it replaces all my current updated drivers with basic and/or generic drivers dated 2006. On a computer that should not have remote access it does, it keeps giving itself these configuration- i saw somewhere something that showed shared virtual storage so I took the battery out of the other machine in case they’re communicating -

It progressively seems to get worse/gain more control over time if I try to ignore it. I really want to have the ability to access and control my own system settings ..

so what I want, and need i
how can I either download, access,or install fresh, up to date windows on both of these computers?

at this point I am starting to wonder if part of my problem is that i keep purchasing HP - i really hope not-

but I’m seriously beginning to question the security of ANYTHING microsoft related.

I just want to be able to do my schoolwork on the computer, because it’s a pain in the neck on my iphone se.

please help me out! i am moderately good with using commands, and through out all this have gained a fair deal of understanding of windows, however I am no tech expert by far- just your average person, thanks in advance and any info you need just ask.

Hi@k3ll1gr33n,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help! I apologize for the Inconvenience.

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Laptop and looking to do a complete fresh install of windows on both the PC.

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Click here for the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10) link

https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06162205

You can also order the USB Recovery kit free of cost from HP. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers and should be able to sort this out. HP provides repair or service options for out of warranty products as well.

For any hardware issue or repair please click on the link Phone Assist Worldwide

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
