@5CD310CB25, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The APC_INDEX_MISMATCH Blue Screen error typically indicates a driver or system-level conflict, often related to audio, graphics, or system updates. Let’s walk through a few steps to help resolve this issue on your HP Laptop 15s-fq2717TU.
Boot into Safe Mode
Since your laptop isn’t starting normally, try booting into Safe Mode:
- Turn off the laptop completely.
- Turn it on and immediately press the F11 key repeatedly until the Recovery Environment appears.
- Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- After restart, press 4 or F4 to boot into Safe Mode.
Uninstall Problematic Drivers
Once in Safe Mode:
- Press Windows + X > Device Manager.
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers and Display adapters.
- Right-click and uninstall any third-party drivers (e.g., Realtek, Conexant, or NVIDIA/Intel graphics).
- Restart the system normally.
Update Drivers and Windows
If the system boots normally:
- Go to HP Support Assistant or download it from: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
- Run it to check for and install all driver and BIOS updates.
- Also, go to Settings > Windows Update and install all pending updates.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
To rule out hardware issues:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Turn it on and immediately press Esc, then F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Run the System Test or at least the Memory and Hard Drive Tests.
System Restore (if needed)
If the issue started recently:
- Boot into Recovery (F11).
- Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > System Restore.
- Choose a restore point before the issue began.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
