This notebook is pretty well useless..a friend of mine bought it from someone off Facebook Marketplace and then passed it along to me, (after he said he had done something to it that he had no idea what, but just knew that he messed it up somehow) and since being in my possession I've had to power wash it and factory reset it and each time I've done that I have not been able to log into my Outlook account or my **bleep** account. So I decided to troubleshoot it and it told me it's "not running well" and I need to reset it and clear everything out again. Which would be like the fourth time now. However this time is different because a pop-up notification appeared stating: " following configuration change was requested for this computer's trusted platform module: clear TPM
Warning: clearing the TPM erases information stored on the TPM. You will lose all created keys and access to data encrypted by these keys"
I have tried to Google what I should do next in order for this notebook to work properly and I don't know if I'm supposed to press F1 to accept or press F2 to reject, but I'm not going to do any of either option unless I am told by a professional or someone who has the knowledge to perform the correct operation. Please help me so I can proceed and also let me know if this notebook is garbage or if there's any way of making it useable. Thank you !

If you clear TPM you will just have to enter your username and passwords in again. Possibly those credential were wrong in the first place so it needs to be done.
Please provide the Product ID or exact model name for better assistance. Preferably the full product ID including the characters after the # symbol. This code may be needed to find cloud recovery files.

You can always get a USB installation for factory software
or you can download any missing drivers from here
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-stream-13-c100-notebook-pc/model/9054436?sku=P4B15UA
just select windows 10
or use HPSA
Get the latest HP support assistant and see what it recommends

Intel also has a support assistant

Okay so I clicked on the link that you provided to download any missing drivers and this is what came up: "We were unable to retrieve the list of drivers for your product. Please select the desired OS and select 'Submit' to try again
If your operating system is not listed then HP may not provide driver support for your product with that operating system."
But honestly my main question that I really need to know is will the laptop still be operable if I accept the configuration request to clear the TPM? Or should I reject it and continue with my factory restart process.

Clearing TPM erases all previously saved credentials which I suspect that is what you need since it came from facebook.

Yea, that is correct. You need to identify your OS. Windows 8 and 10 have drivers available. it is likely win11 can use anything from 10 or even 8
Linux is not listed but I suspect Ubuntu desktop will work fine and you can probably run window 11 easily

I didn't know that I was able to actually upload pictures however as you can see here this is what is stuck on my computer right now, and I cannot proceed any further without accepting or rejecting this TPM configuration request.
As soon as I am provided it with the answer as to which action needs to be taken via this configuration request, I will then continue with updating the drives and following all the other steps as per suggested/recommended.
