I can't find the specs of your machine, from the following link

       https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=3Y054UA

Looks like it runs Windows 10 and you upgraded to Windows 11. On nearly all machine, the HP software is

        Recovery Manager

It is no longer available, therefore you have to use

        https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/backup-and-restore-in-windows-352091d2-bb9d-3ea3-ed18-52...

or using  Cloud Recovery tool

Which software do you use ? Using HP built-in software it normally uses the CLEAN Recovery partition.

I'm using win 10 home

What is the built in HP software? HP says this is the way to make a recovery drive.

Cloud storage? That's not my recovery drive though and it's now win 11 for me...

My Laptop is

HP Laptop PC 17-by4000ery

17-by4633dx

Product number: 3Y054UA#ABA

It never came with that HP recovery. I wish it did as I'm lost as to which drivers to use. I do the autdetect on HP's site and it only comes up with a few drivers. I have no idea about pre installed software. No idea where to get copies of those from

I never updated to Win 11 but the HP CLOUD RECOVERY media has updated to Win11, unfortunately

so i guess those are my choices.

BUT ISN'T THIS WHERE I SHOULD GO?  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-a-recovery-drive-abb4691b-5324-6d4a-8766-73fab304...
