@RedBird506, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

The "ACPI BIOS ERROR" stop code (usually 0x000000A5) indicates a problem between Windows and your computer's BIOS, particularly with ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) — which controls power management and hardware communication. When you're stuck in a boot loop like that, it typically means Windows can't boot because the BIOS isn't providing compatible ACPI support.

Power Cycle the System

Just in case this is temporary corruption:

Turn off the PC completely.

Unplug the power cable (and battery if it's a laptop).

Hold the power button for 10–15 seconds.

Reconnect and power it back on.

Enter BIOS/UEFI Settings

You’ll need to make sure your BIOS is properly set up.

Restart your PC and enter BIOS/UEFI settings.

Once inside:

Reset BIOS to Default settings

Boot to Windows Recovery (WinRE) or USB Installer

You may need a bootable USB drive:

If you already have a Windows 10/11 USB installer:

Plug it in and boot from it (change boot order in BIOS).

On the Windows Setup screen, click:

Repair your computer > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options

Try:

Startup Repair

System Restore (if available)

Command Prompt and run: sfc /scannow chkdsk c: /f /r

If you don’t have an installer:

You can create one from another PC:

Go to: Download Windows 10

Download the Media Creation Tool and create a USB installer (8 GB+)

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm having the same issue, but all steps that I've read so far have not worked properly. All tests have passed and Bios has updated twice, and still getting message. I have an HP notebook.
