Hello, I have a
Is there any way to know what storage controller mode I am using? I do not see the configuration for it in BIOS and cannot find a way to get into any sort of advanced BIOS to see the storage options. I need to determine what mode the SATA controller is in and change it to AHCI mode if possible.
Thanks

Hi:
Your notebook has an eMMC drive which does not use a SATA AHCI controller or a NVMe controller.
It has its own special type of storage controller, and you cannot change the drive controller settings.

Thanks, Paul.
I didn't realize it was an eMMC. I was trying to install Linux Mint but it wasn't recognizing the drive which is what led me to thinking it was the driver controller setting issue. It seems like installing Linux on an eMMC is a totally different issue altogether and probably not possible for what I want to do... oh well!

You're very welcome.
Others have had the same issue.
