How do I access the BIOS on this laptop?  Nothing comes up during start up to indicate what to press.  I have tried F8, F9, F10 and delete.  None of them work.  I have searched use manuals, etc and nothing.  Thanks for the help.

When I click the BIOS  it takes to enter password which I am unable to reset and locks me out so I power off and on repeatedly. What steps can I take next?

Done

The screen reads optical disk drive, notebook hard drive, notebook ethernet. Which one do I click on?

What is it that you want to do?

Thank you, I have done that for almost a week. Any other advice to the boot options?  Optical disk Drive, notebook hard drive or notebook ethernet?

Recover, reboot or update to restart my laptop

You're very welcome.

When you get to the menu of options after hitting the ESC key, is there an F11 recovery option?

If so, use that option to factory reset your notebook.

If not, use another Windows PC with W7 64 bit or newer on it to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility.

A USB flash drive option should show up in the boot menu if you plug in a bootable USB flash drive.
