Hello. I’m wondering if anyone could have an answer for me here. Was checking recently my apps access to my camera through settings and noticed this. That disney+ had accessed my camera and microphone at these separate times. At these times I was not using disney+.

Hi @Ali12789_,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your concern about apps accessing your camera without permission. While we don’t have direct visibility into this, I’d recommend checking your app permissions in the settings. This can help you control which apps have access and potentially resolve the issue.

Through Windows Settings

Disable the Camera Using Device Manager:

  • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager from the menu.
  • Expand the Cameras, Imaging devices, or Sound, video and game controllers section.
  • Right-click on your webcam and select Disable device. Confirm any prompts that appear.

Adjust Privacy Settings:

  • Open Settings by pressing Windows key + I.
  • Navigate to Privacy & security > Camera.
  • Here, you can toggle off the access to the camera for all apps or select which apps can use the camera.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
