I accidentally let my laptop drain to 0%....well i think it was actually 0. I normally wait for the notifcation to appear at about 20% but i was busy and forgot. When I came back my laptop was hibernated. I have it set to hibernate if it reaches 7% without being charged. But when i turned it on, after switching the charger on, it said 1% so that makes me worry that it actually got to 0%. I hear that's bad for the battery. This is the first time i've done it and the battery is charging fine (for now at least) but i'm worried i may have caused long-term harm to my battery with this mistake

0% does not mean 0%. The battery management system (BMS) reserves a part of the capacity before switching off the power supply. However, if the battery is actually deeply discharged, i.e. if it continues to discharge, the BMS refuses to charge this battery for safety reasons.

Try to charge the battery for a longer time. Switch off the notebook to do this. If the battery is charged again, you are lucky. Make sure that the battery is not discharged too deeply. I would charge it again at 20-30%.
