I recently bought an Elitebook 840 G8 with Windows 10. I wasn't happy with it so I decided to return it. Before returning it, I wanted to securely erase my data. I used HP Secure Erase, not realising that I would be erasing everything, including the OS.
I reinstalled the OS with a USB flash drive containing recovery software downloaded with the HP Cloud Recovery Download Tool (HP Business PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Download Tool | HP® Customer Support). The reinstalled OS works fine but is missing some HP applications that originally came with the laptop (e.g. HP Sure Click, myHP from what I can remember). I am worried that the laptop will not be accepted when I return it. Is there anything I can do so that the laptop will have all the original software?
