HP Laptop PC 14s-dq2000

I factory reset my personal go laptop. Now when it boots up it goes to an Administrator account and says your account has been disabled. Please see your system administrator. However this is my personal laptop, I have no system administrator, and it no longer gives me an option to do another factory reset. When I hold F11 when booting up I select my language, under troubleshooting the startup repair doesn’t find any issues and I don’t have a restore point to try to go back to. How can I get back in to my laptop?

Hi @TaylorCourtois,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I can provide you with some general guidance that may help you resolve the issue.

  • Restart in Safe Mode: Try restarting your laptop and booting into Safe Mode. To do this, press and hold the Shift key while the system is booting up. This will load a minimal set of drivers and services, allowing you to troubleshoot problems.
  • Access Administrator Account: If you're able to log in to the Administrator account, you can try creating a new user account or modifying the settings of your existing account. Press the Windows key + X and select "Computer Management" from the menu. In the Computer Management window, navigate to "Local Users and Groups" and then "Users" to manage user accounts.
  • Reset Account Password: If you're unable to access your account, you can try resetting the account password using a password reset disk if you had previously created one. Alternatively, you may need to use a different computer to create a password reset disk or use specialized software to reset the password.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
