When I start the notebook It just shows the HP logo and then a black screen with the words system reset on it then it just restarts and does the same thing over and over.when I open the BIOS it has five boot options OS Boot manager, Notebook Ethernet IPV4, Notebook Ethernet IPV6, Boot from EFI File and Ubuntu, I never installed Ubuntu,  My notebook is the "Elitebook 840 g2".

- Disable secure boot in BIOS

- Check boot manager which is the default disk to start

- if you have more than 1 disk, the master boot record has to be deleted from the disk that should NOT boot

Inside the BIOS setup I cannot find secure Boot.

To help you I need to know the product number (p/n) of your notebook !

The product number (p/n) is legally allowed information about your computer. This is not sensitive data.

It is allowed to post in public.

You will find this information on the rear of your notebook printed in small alphanumeric letters.
