After using original intallation cd at the end error cto panic code shows up

i assume you are using HP Recovery Disks to reinstall? If so they are notorious for failures. Can you read the 25 character license key on the COA lable attached to bottom of laptop? If so you can download a plain Windows 7 ISO and use it to make a bootable dvd or usb flash drive.
