My HP laptop (one year old, Product Number: 6P0U6EA#ABU) stopped charging about a month ago. The laptop died, and I tried all methods of charging (portable charger, multiple USB-C charging leads), but nothing worked. I sent it off in a box to a HP repair center (apparently in Bulgaria) to be repaired. The repair took over a month due to them not having enough spare parts. I sent a note in the same box as the laptop saying I could not back it up before I sent it due to the power not turning on. The laptop came back over a month later with the motherboard, fan, base of the chassis, and SSD replaced. I lost all my downloaded files, documents, images, and data stored on the laptop. I contacted HP on WhatsApp and was connected with a technical support assistant. I asked them to notify the repair center urgently to not throw away the SSD, but they said they could not do so. On top of this, I was charged hundreds of pounds for the repair, due to them saying that the fault was due to me not removing the USB-C charging cable carefully and gently enough, even though this issue has been logged multiple times on HP community by various users all saying the same thing that happened to me, and representatives HP saying that this issue is quite widespread and is a result of a HP hardware failure in the motherboard. So not only did the repair take well over a month, heavily affecting the work I could do, but all my data was lost and also I was charged hundreds of pounds for the repair. I would be unmeasurably grateful to anybody who may be able to help me, offer me some advice, or connect me with somebody in charge of the repair center (apparently in Bulgaria) to urgently try to save this SSD and all my data. Thank you.
