@garan83, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding missing AMD RAID (RAID/AHCI) and Chipset drivers!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It looks like your HP Victus 16.1-inch laptop isn't detecting the SSD or HDD during the Windows 11 installation because the necessary AMD RAID (RAID/AHCI) or chipset drivers are missing. Here’s how you can resolve the issue:

Steps to Install AMD RAID & Chipset Drivers Before Windows 11 Installation:

1. Download Required Drivers

You need the AMD RAID and chipset drivers for your specific model. Since HP doesn’t always provide standalone storage drivers, you can download them from:

Look for:

  • AMD RAID Driver (RAID/AHCI)
  • AMD Chipset Driver

Make sure you download the latest versions compatible with your laptop model.

2. Create a Bootable USB with Drivers

Since Windows Setup doesn’t detect the SSD, you must manually load the drivers:

  1. Copy the downloaded RAID & chipset drivers to a USB drive.
  2. Plug the USB into your laptop along with the Windows 11 installation media.

3. Load Drivers in Windows Setup

  1. Start the Windows 11 installer using your bootable USB.
  2. When you reach the screen where no drives are listed, click on Load driver.
  3. Browse to your USB drive and select the RAID or chipset driver folder.
  4. The installer will load the required drivers, and your SSD/HDD should now be visible.

4. Proceed with Installation

  • Once the drive appears, format or select it for installation.
  • Continue installing Windows 11 as usual.

After installation, install all required drivers from the HP support page, including:

  • Chipset
  • Graphics
  • Network (WiFi/LAN)
  • Audio
  • Touchpad, etc.

Let me know if you need step-by-step assistance! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
