Hi @Glennnnnn
** Please, post your HP product number (p/n) and full computer model as per the instructions here >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
** Let me know in which country you are located >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
** Do you have a Windows COA sticker attached to the PC (usually at the bottom) >>

Do you mean you did upgrade to Windows 10 and used Windows 10 on this PC for a while ?
And what operating system you want to restore and use on this computer ?
** If you used W10 for a while, then you can perform clean installation of Windows 10 now using a variety of tool available from Microsoft -> here is more info and how-to guide >>> https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/EliteBook-very-slow-after-drive...
** If you want to restore Windows 7, there are 2 options - official and unofficial
Official one requires you to pay some fees and to use Windows 7 recovery discs - you need to obtain origial HP recovery media which includes Windows 7, drivers, some preinstalled apps to restore your computer to factory default condition. For most European countries these are provided by Ingram Micro (Best2Serve) - HP partner >> here is how to contact them >> https://www.best2serve.com/en-gb/page/rcd_hardware_related_products/?product_type_id=4&hardware_prod...
Unofficial one requires you to download Windows 7 OEM and reinstall it using unofficial tools. Unofficial procedure is basically free of charge. Read the Step 2 (heidoc) here >> https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Reimage-Computer/m-p/6490738#M5...
Let me know how it goes
