Is there any chance of actually getting some support from HP?!?! I can't ring as it's a weekend, can't find an email, and it seems impossible to get any support on here! I'm on my 2nd HP laptop in just over a month, and just like the first, it's become pretty much unusuabley slow after only 2 weeks! It can barely open Chrome without it stopping responding! I'm giving serious consideration to just getting a refund!

Hi
You bought it from Amazon, or HP?
""it seems impossible to get any support on here""
People, who are volunteers have tried to help you, but your analysis of the problems are not conducive to easy remedies.
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.
Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.
Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat
AND/OR - Power on your PC, press Esc (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).
AND/OR
HOW DO I USE DIAGNOSTICS?
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows is a Windows-based utility that allows you to run diagnostic tests to determine if the computer hardware is functioning properly. The tool runs within the Windows operating system in order to diagnose hardware failures. HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows comes pre-installed on new HP computers, but if not on yours, download here:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp93001-93500/sp93457.exe
If the Laptop is doing downloads in the background then it's performance will inevitably suffer in the first few days.
Do a speedtest with someone like OOKLA. EG:
C:\>netsh wlan show interfaces
There is 1 interface on the system:
Receive rate (Mbps) : 72.2 Transmit rate (Mbps) : 72.2

I wasn't having a dig at the volunteers, it was aimed at HP's horrendous customer support! No live chat, or support email or phoneline!
I've already run malware and anti virus scans, used ccleaner and run the HP hardware diagnostic. All is apparently fine! All I use the laptop for is football manager, browsing facebook, and doing my open uni work. It sporadically starts working fine for about a minute, then System Interrupts will hit 100% CPU usage, followed by anything upto an hour of the System proccess using 100% of the disk in the Task Manager. At the same time, the internet speed completely drops to about 1 or 2kb.
