HP Laptop 15-bs033cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop has been like this for a few days now and I have been going around YouTube on trying to solve this problem. All the solutions did not work for me so I came here to find help from someone. In Advanced Options, there are all these choices like resetting your PC, Command Prompt, Startup Repair, and more. I tried them all but it didn’t work. I also tried powering my laptop on and off a consecutive number of times but it just went back to the auto repair loop. Please help!

Hi,

Did you try command prompt ->

bootrec /fixmbr

bootrec /fixboot

bootrec /scanos

bootrec /rebuildbcd

exit

If this failed I recommend you try to do a complete reinstall by erasing the harddrive.

If this fails to help please explain why you were reinstalling in the first place as this could help diagnose the issue

Good luck!

Yes I have tried doing that method but it kept on saying “Access Denied”. I also tried erasing everything from the hard drive but, it said that there was a problem while trying to do it.

Hi,

I recommend you try the following from the Command Prompt.. type in the following:

diskpart

list disk  < take note of what disk is labeled as the boot disk number i.e 0>

sel disk <boot disk number>

list vol  < take note of what partition the EFI is >

sel vol <EFI patition number>

assign letter=T:

exit

bcdboot C:\windows /s T: /f UEFI

Note also you can format the partition with 'format T: /FSNTFS' also

Good luck!

It isn’t working sadly. Do you have any other solutions?

How old is your version of the WIndows 10 installer?.. I would recommend you try the latest

from https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10

a couple of other suggestions..

1) enter the computers BIOS and 'load defaults', save and exit and try again

2) Try installing a different OS like Ubuntu Linux (https://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop) .. if that installs fine then you can just have Windows 10 install over the top of that again, or else if that fails I would suspect the physical drive is at fault.

Good Luck!

Dave
