I recently purchased a new Notebook and believe I am having issues with the Auto Update, on my old laptop with Windows 7, the system checked for updates every time I started up & logged in, with this new laptop I have to manually check for updates, I've tried going through Advanced Options but I don't appear to have an Auto Update capability, how often does the Windows 10 OS check for updates?

@MAT61

By default Windows updates task is ON automatically. Anyway, please use the following guide to turn ON/OFF Auto updates

                 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-change-your-automatic-updates-settings-by-using-win...

My machine is ON, therefore it has auto updates daily (even twice a day) specially for Security Definitions as shown

Hello BH

Thankyou for the reply

I tried using the Let me fix it myself option and I don't appear to have the option to change when the updates are performed and this page is telling me that the Automatic Maintenance is being performed, but when I go to the Updates page it says that the updates were last performed on 22/1/2021 when I completed a manual check, screen shot's below.
