HP 15-bs020wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Brand new laptop (11/23/2017) working just fine up until 3 days ago. I turned it on and it stated BIOS Failed Recovery and it starts a countdown. Once it reaches 0 it just goes black and starts all over again. When I purchased the laptop I did make a USB System Recovery flash drive. I am wondering if I can use this to solve the problem but, if I do will it wipe out all of my personal files? If it does wipe out all of my personal files is there a way to retrieve them before using the USB System Recovery Flash Drive?

Thank you Cheryl. I already have a case initiated and a box being mailed out. Just thought I might be able to utilize the USB System Recovery Flash drive.

System Recovery will not recover from a failed BIOS. This is at the motherboard level. Contact HP for warranty service.
