HP Pavilion DV7-3030eg
Hello, I'm from Germany so please
excuse my bad English.
I'm urgently looking for a BIOS file
for my old notebook. It’s an HP Pavilion
DV7-3030eg.
Preferably as a finished image so that
I can immediately create a
bootable USB stick. Has anybody an idea
where i can find such an file?
Greetings from germany

Hi:

Unfortunately, the only way the BIOS files are offered are as exe files to be run using Windows.

I couldn't find any specs for your notebook, but here are the links to the last BIOS update for the dv7-30xx models with the Intel processors and those with the AMD processors:

Intel:  F.46

HP Pavilion dv7-3000 Entertainment Notebook-PC-Serie Software- und Treiber-Downloads

AMD:  F.13

At first thank you for your help. But i think this may not help me because i can not install any kind of operating system. So i'm not able to run these exe-files. I really need a bootable USB-Stick.

This is bad. 😩

Thanks anyway.

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, all of the CQ58 BIOS files are exe files.

There may be a way to extract the BIOS files from the exe file, but most of us do not have the BIOS flashing tools to do that.

I thought it too that there must be a way to extract the BIOS-Files somehow.

I find it really sad that i can now throw the notebook away just because of an corrupt BIOS file. 😞
