I purchased this laptop less than a month ago. Yesterday I ran the latest windows update. "May 13th". Of course a bios update was installed. Assuming it was the one released by HP on May 8th. It failed and is now in a recovery loop. I have downloaded and tried all three available bios files with different usb drives.

F.20 Rev A May 8th 2026

F.11 Rev A Dec 31st 2025

F.03 Rev A June 9th 2025

The older ones fail with bios cannot be found or are corrupt screen. F.20 is a black screen bios update that repeats and fails.

All were created with the corresponding SP download files to make the usb rescue media.

Also, the power adapter was always plugged in and battery fully charged. I have also disconnected the battery to see if a power drain "power button 30 sec" would help.

Why is it always the freaking bios.....

Does anyone have any recovery advice outside of what I have already tried? all 3 rescue USB bios updates fail. Win + B, Win + V Do not help. Power drain with battery unplugged did nothing. All because of Windows update. 😡
