Hi, to put it short i´d like to rollback the BIOS version for my laptop from F.74 Rev.A to F.52 Rev.A due to issues that i´ve been having with the CPU and integrated graphics after installing 16 gigs of RAM onto my Laptop. However, it won´t let me do it from the UEFI system diagnostics tool and i´m unable to find the requested BIOS version anywhere to download.

Although the main issue that i´d want to resolve is the one i´ve mentioned, i would also be pleased to know if the actual RAM installation has to do with the problems i´m currently experiencing [Increased CPU usage, screen briefly going black after overload, briefly disconnecting USBs plugged in, and sometimes getting the integrated GPU to be disabled on Device Manager] and if so, what steps to follow. I haven´t been provided nor have seen a User Manual for my specific device, so i can´t confirm if my decision wouldve been normally supported by all system components. I´m looking for a BIOS rollback to see if the BIOS has anything to do with the problem and if not, see if it got any advanced settings for me to respectfully tweak with. If it doesn´t i might have to just replace my RAM sticks so they got less overall gigs, an option which i´m open to but which would not favor my end intentions with this device.

Running UEFI Sytem Diagnostics [pardon me if that isn´t the actual name], all system devices and modules including the RAM and CPU are installed and working just fine, but when i try with Video Memory it fails just starting, and if i run the same on HP PC Hardware Diagnostics it gets cancelled half-way.

Specs: Processor AMD Athlon Gold 3150U [FP5 BGA Socket] with Radeon Graphics [Radeon RX Vega 3], 2400 Mhz [Installed RAM is of 3200 Mhz with support for 2400 Mhz], 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

System Model HP Laptop 14-fq0xxx [14-fq0090tg]

Running OS Microsoft Windows 11 Home

OS version 10.0.22631 Build 22631 [23H2]

BIOS Version/Date AMI F.74, 8/9/2024

BIOS Mode UEFI

Hello Irwin6, first and foremost thank you for attending me.

I do have the BIOS updated, checked throughout HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool and the online site for the product, but the issue so far has been resolved. I just swapped a 8 gigs RAM stick with the old 4 gigs, leaving me with 12 gbs installed, thing which i wasn't looking for but which will leave me satisfied now with a stable system to run with.
