Sorry to hear that, I had the same thing happened to my laptop and I was told to ship it in for a motherboard replacement even though I have in-home warranty so sadly you'll have to do that same. The good news is I shipped mine out on a Friday and got it back that next Wed/Thur I think it was a relly fast turnaround.
Good Luck!

here another one.
Envy 15 J040el killed by automatic BIOS update.
BIOS installation steps was completed with success (no power off, mouse the only other device connected), but after the restart appear black screen for 30 minutes.
Power off/on not solved...black screen
Win + B + Power on 5 second not solved...black screen
External monitor with HDMI not solved...black screen
Win flash USB with new bios not solved .... black screen.
Win + B + Power on show 1 led flashing (middle light) on power on....pause...another 1 led flashing (middle light)... anything else.
A notebook with 1 week become a vegetable....and from monday i need it to work!!! (also 1 directory inside HDD with my work files (>,<)'''''' )
Local marketer goes to change it with another one with same hardware, but need 3-4 day to give it to me, and after i need 2-7 day to install again software and configure it (<,<)
I think that WinFlash USB BIOS restore system fail because at start the hardware dont start external USB (also if i use Win + B + Power On).
During the only week that notebook work i see that file transfert/copy on HDD was unstable (variable between 6-15 Mb/s when with USB2 HDD device on USB3 it must be 34MB/s approximately constant)

Hello Meroita...
I'm very sorry that you're having this issue with your Envy 15. I believe that this error may not be related to BIOS, and is a hardware failure.
The 1 blink error indicates that there is a possible CPU error. The back that you received the 1 blink code in the first place indicates that the initial load and execution of BIOS was successful; the 1 blink code is being returned by the BIOS during a process call boot validation, where it checks for the health of critical system hardware as well as the health of the BIOS. If an error is encountered during thsi time, the system will stop the boot process and flash the appropriate error clode on a system LED (or multiple LEDs on some systems).
If the BIOS itself had become corrupted and was unable to automatically recover from the hard drive (a valuable feature of HP notebook computers!), you would have received a 2 blink error. If the BIOS was so badly damaged that it could not even do that initial load and boot validation, you would have received no blinks.
USB disk-on-key support is enabed during the boot process for recovery. The manual recovery via the [[Win][B]] keys is enabled in the BIOS boot block, and the system will recover from a USB drive if one is plugged in with the BIOS recovery files.
Meroita, I realize that this information doesn't help you with the inconvenience of getting your hardware repalced and reloading & reconfiguring your software, but I hope that it might help you (and others) understand what is hapenning when this kind of error shows up.
Good luck... --bruce T.

i hav a hp pavilion ts 14 notebook pc which asked me to update bios to f62.
on updating bios, i faced the same problem, in few days, the laptop crashed with a blue screen.
lost all data and have no recovery!
went to hp sevice center, my laptop has international warranty but no support in india.
i purchased my laptop from dubai, and india service center tell me to contact dubai!
whats the use of international warranty when support is limited!
annoyed with hp, never will buy another hp!
