BIOS Update F28 and F28A

Hello Krazy Toad! I need help with my old faithful Compaq Presario laptop series V5000, a V5209US.

It has the F.24 bios and i need the F.28 Bios update.

I have been on the support all weekend, but they my product is NOT supported but th V5209us is not listed there.

Can you please help me get it someway?

I will be glad to pay you all if I need to.

IF your purpose of doing the BIOS upgrade is to be able to use all 4GB of RAM, then see my other reply -- as that is simply not possible running a Windows 32-bit OS.

Yes you are correct as I read that today in some of my web browsing .

BUT without that update if the F.28 I am stuck with a maximum of 2 gigabytes (or less due to system).

That is the reason for the need for the update.

Does anybody out there have a copy of that file??
