Product: Pavilion 15-c1xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've got a corrupt BIOS on my Pavilion (thanks Windows Update!) so am trying to use the above softpak to create a USB recovery drive. But after extracting the BIOS_UPDATE file and running it, no screen comes up for me to perform the function. I've tried multiple downloads, and on 2 laptops. 

 

Any suggestion please?

Did you find a solution?
I managed to create a recovery usb stick with the previous version of the BIOS update, but even that only worked on the third laptop I tried (windows 7).

In the mean time my HP laptop is in a BIOS recovery loop thanks to this HP Bios update sp111736 😞

No solution so far. The USB BIOS recovery stick didn't find a compatible product.

Unfortunately not, I keep checking in the hope of a new update.

 

I created a recovery for the previous version, but it fails each time and just boot loops.
