Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

biosupdateerror.PNGI got a notification from hp support assistant to download an update for the bios but when i try to install it  i cant click on the update icon and it says "BIOS Update not compatible with your device" What should i do?

Click Cancel. Not the first time HP SA has messed up on a BIOS suggestion. Just glad the BIOS file at least caught the error and alerted you. You could have ended up with a no-boot laptop. Open HP SA and delete the task for BIOS update.

 

You can check for a BIOS update directly from your Support page. What is the full Model number or Product number of your laptop.
Easiest way to get that info- minimize all open windows so you can see desktop screen. Next hold the fn key and press esc key.
