Hello! I'm having a problem with connecting PLEXTOR M8Pe NVMe m.2 256 GB (PX-256M8PEGN) SSD via M.2 after BIOS update to F.13. The BIOS does not detect it, but the operating system sees it. With BIOS F.09, everything was fine.
Rollback to version F.09 with the utility "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI" can not make, does not find the signature file.
I apologize for the bad english!

Hello @ilia3367
I need to be clear on whats happening first.
You installed this new SSD but it wont boot the operating system.
How did you install the operating system, Using HP recovery or the Microsoft Media Creation Tool?
I assume the HDD still has its operating system in tacked and when booted, can see the SSD just fine.
Is this correct?

Prior to updating the BIOS to F.13, this SSD was defined in the "Boot Option", and it could be cloned by the OS and installed a new one. After updating the BIOS, when I try to install the OS on the SSD, a cyclic return to the initial setup menu appears. The cloned OS also does not boot because the BIOS does not detect the disk.

If you now have both drives installed and both have Windows installed, remove the older HDD. Having two versions of the OS will cause the bios to not be able to boot either.
See if the SSD will boot without the HDD installed.
Alternatively, you might be able to boot from SSD in bios explorer...
Rapidly tap F9 for Boot Options Menu.
Arrow down to Boot from EFI File.
Select the long line of text that starts with No Volume Label, etc etc.
Choose <EFI>
Arrow down to <Boot>
Arrow down to bootx64.efi
It should boot one time into the SSD. If it does, you can wipe the HDD from there and use it for storage only.
Also, if you cloned a bigger drive to a smaller drive, that can cause issues also if the clone wasn't done correctly to resize the C partition and place the recovery in the correct position.
Let me know what you find out.

I understand what you want to explain to me. I completely cleared the SSD and HDD. I'm trying to install the OS on an SSD, and the initial setup menu has a cyclic download. On the hard disk, the OS is installed normally.
Unfortunately, I can not now verify your advice, because I made a return to the store in exchange for SATA III. I wanted to share my case, because it seemed to me that the reason for my problem in BIOS was F.13.
Thank you very much for your attention to my problem!

I had same problem and mange to get it working.
I've installed fresh windows from USB on my new SSD since copy sector-by-sector from old HDD to new SSD didn't work.
After installation I had same problem but then I went into boot record and duplicated orignial entry and pointed duplicated entry on installation folder where my widows on SSD is installed.
That worked like charm 🙂
So now BIOS is loading boot record from old HDD on which I have entry "Win SSD" and "Win Old". Win SSD is pointing to Windows installation on new SSD 🙂
Not best way to go about that but at least I can work with my OS on new SSD and only boot is being loaded from old disc.
I think there is option in BIOS to keep boot record in BIOS so that can speed loading of OS but it's fast enought this way.
