I received an HP dv6-6000 laptop as a gift. When I turn it on, it emits short, repetitive beeps—an endless loop—while the screen remains black. I can break the loop by pressing the Caps Lock key a few times.
DeepSeek suggested the issue lies with the BIOS (the RAM and other components are fine). The BIOS battery was extremely hot, so I bought and installed a new one. Afterward, I encountered BIOS errors 501 and 502; pressing Enter was supposed to trigger a recovery process, but the endless beeping loop started up again. Only pressing Caps Lock stopped it.
DeepSeek advised downloading the BIOS recovery file for my laptop, but no matter where I look, I can't find it! Also, HP Support Assistant simply won't launch on my machine. Please help—I’m a student with no money.
