Okay, so here's the thing. I downloaded a cracked software which I shouldn't have, which brought Virus in my laptop. The screen turned black with just cursor in the middle. The BIOS had password which made it impossible to install new Windows. So, I took it to a repair shop and they somehow managed to open BIOS and install new Windows 10 setup. Now during startup, a message is displayed on the screen stating "Warning!! Machine is not in committed state" and my Wi-Fi and bluetooth options disappear and come sometimes. I have been using ethernet for the past couple of days. I reinstalled Windows 10 from a bootable USB and formatted every drive. The Wi-Fi option was still missing. The hacker left a message in the notepad asking for money. Now I do not know what to do. I am a student and need this laptop for everyday use and cannot afford to buy a new one. Please Help!

Hello @RumailSaddique
Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.
The only solution is to reflash bios and replace hard drive and reinstall Windows operating system. |
(1) Use another Windows 10 computer to create BIOS <USB flash drive>
HP Notebook System BIOS Update | 01.54 Rev.A | 13.5 MB | May 11, 2020 | Download |
(2) HP Consumer Desktop PCs - Updating the BIOS (Windows)
See section <Updating the BIOS manually from a USB Flash drive (outside of Windows)>
(3) Please report back
Kind regards

Hello @RumailSaddique
Boot sector, UEFI partition and other sectors/paritions could be infected.
Try to format/erase the hard drive.
