HP Notebook - 15-db1400ng
Linux

Hello,

I would like to update the BIOS of the 15-db1400ng notebook. I followed the official HP procedure and created a USB drive from a windows machine. Then I restarted the machine in the BIOS with F10, but I can't find the entry to update the BIOS. If I press ESC and F2 with the USB drive inserted, it does not start flashing the BIOS and there is no entry to start it. Usually updating the BIOS is fairly straightforward once you have the USB drive.

What can I do?

Thank you

Hi,
I have solved it. In short, I was not performing the boot procedure correctly.

  1. Simultaneously press the WINDOWS logo key and the B key.
  2. While holding down both keys, press the power button for 2 seconds.
  3. Release the power key and continue pressing the other keys for 30 seconds.
