OMEN by HP 15-dh0006np

My pc has been having trouble with not only performance but also some driver issues. From time to time, my keyboard starts delaying inputs and not responding. I've tried updating the keyboard drivers but it hasn't worked, and I saw somewhere that a BIOS update normally solves issues of sorts. So I went to update it, but I found an issue. The only support that is offered is for an OS that I don't have, since I have Windows 11 and the only support provided is Windows 10. Is it ok to follow the support for windows 10?

Hi @Eufrasio,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's understandable to feel uncertain about following instructions meant for Windows 10 when you're using Windows 11. In general, it's not recommended to use drivers or updates designed for a different operating system version. Doing so can potentially lead to compatibility issues or even system instability.

However, there might be a workaround. Here are a few steps you can take.

  • Check for Windows 11 Updates: Sometimes, issues with hardware performance or drivers can be resolved by simply updating Windows 11 itself. Ensure that your operating system is fully up to date by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Visit the Official HP Support Website: Instead of relying solely on the support provided through the Omen software, try visiting the official HP support website. There, you might find specific drivers and updates tailored for Windows 11.
  • Consider a Fresh Install: If all else fails and your system continues to experience issues, you might consider performing a clean install of Windows 11. This can sometimes resolve persistent driver or performance issues, though it's a more drastic step and should be approached with caution.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I have checked for updates on all platforms available, both windows update and hp support and it seems like everything is up to date, the only thing out of date is the BIOS. Is there any way to downgrade to windows 10?
