I have previously ran a Blue screen with errors diagnostics.
Symptom Tests: PASSED.
Current version: 7.5.1.0
An extensive test: PASSED
When powering on my notebook, I am immediately encountered with a
- black screen with a blue message requesting administrator or power on password.
after successful password entry I then encounter a
- blue screen titled “Recovery”
your pc/device needs to be repaired
A required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed
- Error Code: 0xc000000f
you’ll need to use recovery tools, if you don’t have any installation media (like a disc or usb device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacturer.
action keys listed below are:
- press enter to try again
- press f1 to enter recovery environment
- press f8 for startup settings
- press esc for UEFI firmware settings
After pressing enter a file appears above error code on blue screen
- File:\WINDOWS\system32\winload.efi
- error code: 0xc000000f
I don’t know enough about computers but my uncle has left me this device only because he didn’t want to hassle with the repair needs. Can anyone help me regain normal functionality of my notebook?

Hi:
See if the notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with the notebook.
You will need to have access to another Windows PC running W7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive.
Here is an info link for how to use that utility...
