My son's computer is fried. It has boot device not found install operating system on hard drive. I pice it up to turn it upside down to see if I can find out the name of the computer and it started crackelinh.

Don't worry - it's very easy to fix.

But in order to solve the problem, ask him if it's a Windows 10 system

To find out if you are running a MBR-drive or a GPT-drive you need a USB-Stick.(size 8 GB or bigger)
Then run Google and type in "Media Creation Tool". Download it on a your computer and start the setup.exe.
Prepare the USB-Stick for a different computer.
There are many videos on YouTube how to do it.

 

When ready with this come back for the next step.
