It is late here on the East Coast and I will be offline shortly. I was reading back through all of your replies trying to see what/where/how everything is failing.

So, you are not able to boot from the USB flash with Windows 7 made from Paul's directions on the other thread? The screen simply goes black after tapping Esc? That is odd since you were able to boot from Recovery USB. If you could get it to boot, on the Install screen would be where you could select "Repair your Computer" to get to the advanced menu with command prompt.

 

Maybe someone else will come in with better suggestions. In the meantime I am gonna sleep on it. It might be good to Unmark this as Solved. Many don't even open a thread that is marked solved. Go to your Reply where you marked it. Look at Options in the top right corner of that reply and you should see the option to unmark it.

I have also tried Rufus, and get the same results.  The BIOS does not respond.  When I hit esc to enter boot options, the scren goes blank/black.
