So I recently reformatted my laptop with a clean install of Windows 7 Pro x64 and I have a base system device missing in the device manager. Can someone help me identify what it is?

PCI Slot 2 (PCI bus 35, device 0, function 1)

Hardware ID's

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&SUBSYS_1619103C&REV_30
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&SUBSYS_1619103C
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&CC_0880

If I need to provide anything else, let me know. Thanks!

That is the multimedia card reader manufactured by JMicron

This is the driver that should remove the base device driver needed issue. Click on it to download it and then install it.

Oh wow, that did work. Thank you so much. I didn't realize this computer had a mmc reader. It doesn't seem obvious from the outside of the laptop. I must be missing it!

Yes. Sometimes they are so nicely integrated into the design of the notebook case that they are hard to spot.

I've got the exact same issue now on the same system after upgrading to Win 10 Creators Update. However, the link in your response doesn't work anymore. Could we have a new link please?
