Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Didn't know which Board to put this in.

I have a new Envy 17.3 and after charging the battery completely, 100%, I unplugged it and disconnected all cables.  16 days later, I turn it on and the battery show 78%.  It lost 22% battery power just sitting on my desk.

 

I have had many laptops, but never none that lost battery power unplugged.  The only thing that I can think of is a bad battery.

 

Any other possible reason?
