OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-db0000 (9A9W0AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought a new laptop, a HP Omen 17, roughly 3 months ago. Everything was working fine, until a couple weeks ago.

- The charging port began flashing (steady amber flashing) regardless of whether the charger was in or not.

- While plugged in, it showed the charging symbol but wouldn't increase in battery life (stayed at 70%).

- Next time I turned it on, the battery had shot up to 92%, but the issue persisted (now always stays at 92%).

- I went to run a battery diagnostic but found there was "no battery installed".

I have tried the following:

- I have tried to update the BIOS but it is already fully updated.

- I have tried unplugging the charger, holding the power off button for 30 seconds,  then turning it back on again.

- I have tried running diagnostics on all HP support apps and programs.

I am at a loss. Can someone help?

Hi @Teem47

Enter the Device Manager, then click on battery and uninstall the drivers and restart the laptop, and check if it works correctly.
