HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d4000 (4C802AV)

I received this laptop as a gift a couple years ago and finally opened it up and turned it on. However, the battery won't charge even when plugged in. I've downloaded the latest BIOS info and run tests and the battery failed. I've been given a Failure ID # (9H6FL3-000CGG-MFPX0K-C0R913) but can find nothing on how to address this particular issue on HP.

 

Any recommendation would be appreciated.

The Failure ID code 9H6FL3-000CGG-MFPX0K-C0R913 identifies specific hardware issues in your device. 

 

As this is a Hardware issue, the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.
