HP laptop HP 15-au010wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Battery charging issue on HP laptop HP 15-au010wm non removable battery. Never gets to 100% charged.

@noman481 Welcome to HP Community!

 

I understand that you are unable to charge the laptop.

 

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

 

Please  try the below: 

Steps to uninstall the ACPI drivers 

Right-Click on start button> click device manager> Batteries>then select the s drivers and right-click on it and uninstall all battery drivers. 

Then restart the computer and check again. 

 

Link for battery testing and calibration 

 

Also, update the BIOS.

Thanks but I have done all that you have suggested but it still will not charge to 100%. Do you have any other suggestions.

I understand your concerns.

 

Please perform the battery test and adapter test.

 

1. Power off the PC and make sure that it is completely powered off.

2. Press the power button and the moment you press the power button immediately start tapping F2 key, you should see the system diagnostics screen.

3. Look for the component test, under that all the hardware will be listed, please choose the adapter and battery and initiate the quick test.

Note: If it fails it will generate a 24 digits alphanumeric failure id, please capture that.

Thank you for your reply I just done both of those tests and both them came back as passed now what any more suggestions or do I need to get a new battery I don’t understand why because the battery is passing all the test but it still won’t go to full charge.
